Application of Nuclear Techniques to National Security and Treaty Monitoring

Session Organizer:
Kenan Ünlü, Pennsylvania State University, USA

Nuclear analytical measurements are an important tool for verifying adherence to nuclear treaties. This includes both detecting nuclear tests through the analysis of high-volume atmospheric samples and identifying undeclared operations at safeguarded nuclear facilities through environmental swipe sample analysis. Contributions are encouraged for both radiometric and mass spectrometric analysis methods since both play key roles in treaty monitoring.
