Isotope Recovery and Reclamation

Session Organizer:
Dorothea Schumann, Paul Scherrer Institut, Switzerland

This session will address alternative production routes for radionuclides with a high importance for several scientific research fields like nuclear astrophysics, basic nuclear physics, life science and environmental research as well as many others, which cannot be produced so easily by conventional methods. Possibilities like mining radionuclides from activated waste components of nuclear facilities or the use of radioactive beam technologies and others will be covered. Contributions on scientific and technological applications of such exotic radionuclides will be welcome as well.
